DC92

DC92 is one of the most curious producers around this new wave of schranz. His strongest quality is the refusal to think inside the genre’s usual boundaries. Sound design becomes part of the composition itself: call-and-response structures, strange textures, unexpected fills and sounds pulled from completely different electronic languages can suddenly become part of a high-speed track.

That experimental instinct is exactly what makes his music interesting to HTV. “Alarme” brought DC92 into Trash-Free Tracks Pt. 3, but one track only shows part of the picture. He is always trying something, always looking sideways, always asking what else can fit inside the arrangement. DC92 thinks outside the box because, creatively, the box does not seem particularly interesting to him in the first place.
