CLC takes production seriously. His music rarely settles for the obvious solution: layers interact, sounds answer each other, industrial textures become part of the arrangement and brutality comes from design rather than simply pushing everything louder. There is a producer’s mentality behind the impact.

That level of intention is exactly why “Black Mind” became such an important record for us. It opened Hardtool Vision’s first Trash-Free Tracks compilation and remains one of our favourite tracks ever released on the label. There is violence in it, but there is also depth, the kind of production where another listen keeps revealing decisions underneath the first impression. For HTV, CLC represents the difference between making something heavy and actually designing a world that feels heavy.
