RÆKKE

Hardtool Vision exists because RÆKKE wanted somewhere for this music to be treated seriously. The Argentinian producer and DJ built the project in Portugal around a personal obsession with schranz, industrial techno and the culture surrounding hard music, first as an artistic language and eventually as a catalogue involving dozens of other producers.

His own contributions include “Push Me”, “DANCE!” and the remix of RØY’s “We Got It”, but they are only one part of that story. The larger work is curatorial: deciding what belongs beside what, giving emerging artists the same seriousness as established names and trying to build something capable of lasting beyond one release cycle. RÆKKE is both an artist inside HTV and the person responsible for making the space exist in the first place. The label is, inevitably, part of his artistic work.
