BLOCKED RECEPTORS

BLOCKED RECEPTORS is one of those producers whose records rarely sound interchangeable with anybody else’s. The project has developed a signature built from brutally aggressive drums, breakbeats, bass movement and an instinct for arrangements that remain fresh even when they hit at full force. Delivery after delivery, there is something recognisable in the way the tracks attack.

Coming out of the United States, BLOCKED RECEPTORS already feels like one of the most exciting production voices of a new American hard-techno generation. “This Is My Beat” connected the project to HTV from our first compilation, and “GIVE YA SOME” later pushed that relationship further, eventually appearing in Beatport’s Best New Hard Techno selection. For us, the recognition makes sense: this is a producer with a genuine signature sound, and one who very rarely misses.
